Bio
My primary research interest is understanding the possible presence of universal patterns of organization and time evolution in complex systems, ranging from the Internet, the global economy and society, cells to evolved artificial objects. Some key questions are how those systems develop and evolve, how information is incorporated into these systems and how they process this information. In other words, I improve the understanding of some complex systems using and developing concepts of complexity, statistics, network science and statistical physics. Those new methods enable us to find out patterns within those systems to quantitatively predict, control or optimize them.
I also enjoy running and competing in ultramarathons. Also, as an undergraduate, I did judo and, as a captain of the team, we won the catalan championship several times.
