Bio
Ziyou was born in Xi’an, China and completed his undergraduate study at University of California, Berkeley in Chemical Biology with a minor in mathematics. He gained his PhD from Driskill graduate program in life science, biomedical informatics track with additional masters in statistics and clinical investigation. He is co-advised by Dr. Luis Amaral and Dr. Scott Budinger. He is currently an American Heart Association postdoctoral fellow. His research interest includes development and application of innovative computational algorithms on transcriptome analysis, especially RNA-seq and single cell RNA-seq. His projects include complex network analysis, deep learning, data structure optimization, as well as general biostatistics.
